FAST Grant - FAre Sport Tutti: sports vouchers up to €500 for your children

A plain-language, practical guide to the Sardinia Region's FAST grant and how to apply.

This page is a translated summary for convenience. The official grant notice, the FAQs, the application form and the application portal itself are only available in Italian, and the application must be submitted in Italian using an Italian digital-identity login (SPID, CIE or TS-CNS). If you need help understanding the Italian procedure, see "Where to get help" below.

Information updated as of 22 July 2026, based on the official notice published on 2 July 2026 and the official FAQs published up to 13 July 2026 (questions 1-46). Terms, amounts and requirements may be changed by the Sardinia Region after this date: before applying, always check the most up-to-date version of the notice and FAQs on the Sardinia Region's official website. ASD Sardinia United does not guarantee that this page reflects any changes made after the date above, and is not responsible for decisions made on the basis of information reported here without checking the official source.

Important notice

This page is for informational purposes only. ASD Sardinia United is a private amateur sports association (not a public body) and is not the entity that manages, decides on, or disburses the "FAST - FAre Sport Tutti" grant. The grant is issued by the Autonomous Region of Sardinia (Department of Public Education, Cultural Heritage, Information, Entertainment and Sport), which is its sole owner and responsible party.

ASD Sardinia United does not receive, forward, or manage applications on behalf of families: the application must be submitted exclusively on the official portal www.sardegnalavoro.it (opens in a new tab), using SPID, CIE or TS-CNS.

The only legally binding source is the official notice and the related FAQs published by the Sardinia Region, available here: Full official notice (PDF, Italian) (opens in a new tab) - FAQ 1-30 (PDF, Italian) (opens in a new tab) - FAQ 31-46 (PDF, Italian) (opens in a new tab). In case of doubt or discrepancy, the official text always prevails over this page.

In brief

FAST is a Sardinia Region grant to help pay for children's sport. It covers up to 500 euros for registration and attendance fees for a sports activity in the 2026/2027 season. Families resident in Sardinia with an ISEE (Italian equalised income indicator) up to 20,000 euros can apply, for children aged 5 to 18 (up to 25 if the young person has a disability). It is not an automatic refund: applications enter a ranked list with limited places, so it is not guaranteed that every eligible applicant will receive the grant.

Requirements

The young person the application is for must meet all of these requirements at the time of application:

  • Is resident in a municipality of Sardinia.
  • If not a citizen of an EU country, holds a valid residence permit.
  • Their family has a valid standard ISEE (not the "restricted" ISEE referring only to the young person) of no more than 20,000 euros.
  • Is between 5 (completed) and 19 years old (not yet completed) - i.e. up to 18 years and 364 days. For young people with a disability, the limit rises to 26 years old not yet completed (25 years and 364 days).
  • Is not already receiving another public grant with the same purpose for the same period (the two cannot be combined).

If even one requirement is missing, the application is not admissible.

Multiple children in the same family

You can submit an application for each child who meets the requirements, but at most two young people per household can be admitted to the benefit in the ranking. A third or fourth eligible child stays on the list and only receives the voucher if further funds become available later.

Who submits the application

If the young person is a minor, a parent (or whoever holds parental responsibility) applies. If they are an adult, they apply themselves (unless legally incapacitated, in which case a guardian or support administrator applies). Whoever submits the application must personally authenticate with their own digital credentials - you cannot apply on someone else's behalf using your own credentials.

No need to check the sports club in advance

Any amateur sports association (ASD) with a registered office in Sardinia, affiliated with a National Sports Federation or a sports promotion body recognised by CONI or CIP, and registered with the National Register of Amateur Sports Activities, is eligible. There is no need to look for it on a regional list: this is only formalised after admission to the grant.

Deadlines

Three dates to mark on your calendar, in order:

  1. Deadline to submit the application

    15 September 2026, 11:59:59 PM

If the application is not submitted (and received by the system) by this exact moment, it is no longer possible to take part. No automatic extension is planned: any change to the deadline would only be communicated via a notice published on the Region's website. Only the time recorded by the online system (SIL) counts, not the time you started filling it in.

  2. Publication of the ranked list

    Date not yet set

It depends on how many applications are received. Check the "Bandi e gare" section of www.regione.sardegna.it. Note: online publication already counts as official notification for all purposes - no personal letter or email will be sent.

  3. Deadline to activate the voucher

20 days from publication of the ranked list

If the young person is admitted, the chosen sports club must send the signed contract ("scrittura privata") within 20 days of the ranked list being published. This step is the sports club's responsibility, not the family's - but the family must still choose a club quickly and sign the contract with it, otherwise this deadline expires and the benefit is forfeited.

Dates, amounts and thresholds for this grant can change: always check the most up-to-date version on the Sardinia Region's official website before relying on these deadlines.

Documents to prepare

Before starting the online application, it helps to have these ready, so you don't have to stop halfway through:

  • Personal digital credentials: SPID, or Electronic Identity Card (CIE) with a reader/app, or National Health Services Card (TS-CNS) with a reader.
  • A valid standard ISEE certificate for the household (the "ordinary" one, not the "restricted" one referring only to the young person).
  • The reference code shown on the ISEE certificate.
  • The tax codes (codice fiscale) of all household members.
  • The young person's ID document, only if they are an adult but the application is submitted by someone else (e.g. a guardian).
  • The guardianship judge's appointment decree, only if the applicant is a guardian or support administrator.
  • A valid email address and phone number.

There is nothing to prepare regarding the sports club at this stage: that part only comes later, if the young person is admitted.

How to apply

The application is submitted only online, on the Sardinia Region's SIL (Sistema Informativo Lavoro) portal - entirely in Italian. It cannot be submitted on paper or by email: an application sent by email has no legal effect. A separate application is required for each child, even if they are siblings in the same family.

Go to the official sardegnalavoro.it portal (opens in a new tab)
  1. Go to www.sardegnalavoro.it.
  2. In the top right, click "Accedi/Registrati" (Log in/Register).
  3. Authenticate with SPID, CIE or TS-CNS using the dedicated button.
  4. In the left-hand menu, open "Area servizi" (Services area).
  5. Select "FAST".
  6. Select "Annualità 2026" (2026 season) to enter the notice page.
  7. On the "Riepilogo domande di candidatura (DCT)" page, next to "Presentazione nuova domanda", click "PROCEDI" at the bottom of the page.
  8. Fill in, in this order, the five sections of the application (you can save and return later): Applicant Details, Recipient (young person) Details, Household Details, Declarations, Attachments.
  9. Check that all the data is correct, then press "INVIA" (Submit) to transmit the application definitively.
  10. Keep the submission receipt: it is the only valid proof of the date and time of submission.

There is no stamp duty to pay for this application.

If the Region later requests additional documents, a notification arrives by email from the SIL system: you must respond within 10 calendar days, otherwise the application is excluded.

What happens after you submit the application

Phase 1 - the ranked list (handled by the Region)

All applications received by 15 September 2026 are assessed in the same way: it does not matter who applied first, only that the application was submitted by the deadline. The Region checks the requirements and builds a ranked list with this order of priority:

  1. Young people with a disability come first.
  2. In case of a tie, the lower ISEE comes first.
  3. In case of a further tie, priority goes to whoever belongs to a household with more members within the required age range.
  4. In case of a further tie, the younger person comes first.

The ranked list is published on the Region's website: no personal communication is sent.

Phase 2 - activating the voucher

Important: the family does not do this part alone - it works together with the sports club.

  1. The family chooses the sports club (ASD) where the child will do the activity.
  2. The family and the sports club sign a contract together ("scrittura privata"), using a template provided by the Region (different for adults and minors).
  3. It is the sports club, not the family, that must send this signed contract to the Region through the SIL portal, within 20 days of the ranked list being published.
  4. Only after the Region has checked everything is the grant (up to 500 euros) paid directly to the sports club by bank transfer, within 60 days. The money never passes through the family's hands: it is a discount the club applies to the fee, not a refund to be claimed.

What the family needs to do in this phase

Choose the sports club quickly and sign the contract with it, so the club has time to send it within the 20-day window. The rest - sending it to the Region, verification, payment - is the sports club's responsibility.

If the activity costs more than 500 euros, the difference remains payable by the family. If it costs less, the grant only covers the actual cost: the unused part of the 500 euros is lost and cannot be spent elsewhere.

Frequently asked questions

The activity costs more than 500 euros: what does the voucher cover?

It covers up to 500 euros. Any amount above 500 euros remains payable by the family.

The activity costs less than 500 euros: can the difference be used for something else?

No. The grant only covers the actual cost of the activity. If the cost is, say, 300 euros, the grant is 300 euros: the remaining 200 euros cannot be used for other expenses.

Does the sports club need to be registered somewhere beforehand?

No. It just needs a registered office in Sardinia, affiliation with a National Sports Federation, an Associated Sports Discipline, or a sports promotion body recognised by CONI or CIP, and registration with the National Register of Amateur Sports Activities. There is no regional list of "member" clubs to check beforehand.

Can you apply for more than one child?

Yes, but a separate application is required for each child. Note: even if all children meet the requirements, at most two young people per household can be admitted to the benefit in the ranking. Any eligible third child receives the grant only if resources remain available later on.

Can the voucher be used to buy sports equipment (e.g. a bicycle)?

No. It only covers registration and attendance fees for the activity, not the purchase of equipment or gear.

Can the voucher be split between two different sports, or two different clubs?

No. The voucher is tied to a single contract with a single sports club, for a single activity.

Can someone who already received the old "Giovani VISPI" bonus still apply for FAST?

Yes, having benefited from VISPI in the past does not exclude anyone from applying for FAST.

Is it worth submitting the application on the first possible day to have a better chance?

No, it makes no difference. This is not a "first come, first served" grant: all applications received by the 15 September 2026 deadline are assessed in the same way, using the same ranking criteria.

What happens if the application is submitted a few days after the deadline?

The application is not accepted. No automatic extensions are granted for late submissions: only the official time recorded by the SIL system at the moment of submission counts.

Does the grant get paid into the family's bank account?

No, never. It is paid by the Region directly to the sports club, as a discount on the fee. The family does not receive or need to manage any bank transfer.
